Moonwatch was created during a period when I became fascinated by watches, and particularly by the mechanics behind them. The precision of a mechanical movement — hundreds of tiny components working together to keep time without the need for electricity — is something I still find remarkable.

After completing Rolex, I wanted to explore another iconic watch, but this time shift the focus from the exterior to what happens beneath the surface. The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch was a natural choice, with its transparent caseback revealing the complexity and craftsmanship of the movement inside.

Together, the two works became a natural pair: Rolex presents a classic from the front, while Moonwatch turns the perspective around and celebrates the intricate engineering hidden behind the dial.
